Garrett's Wings

Meet Garrett, the inspiration for this organization that bears
his name.  In August of 2007, what is likely most parents'
worst nightmare became our reality as our precious boy was
diagnosed with a fatal neurological condition called Infantile
NCL.  As we attempted to deal with this devastating news and
ultimately adjust to losing him on December 30th of 2007, we
also realized how truly blessed we were to possess not only
the resources to provide for his comfort and care during his
final days, but also a supportive network of family, friends,
neighbors, colleagues and service providers who helped us
    through it all.

Our experiences during this ordeal also made us realize that not everyone in a
similar situation is as fortunate.  So, in an effort to help us cope and heal... to make
some good evolve from this heartbreak... and to give Garrett life beyond his two and
a half years here with us, we've established Garrett's Wings.  Please take a look
around to learn more about our purpose and efforts.  We hope you'll find some way
in which you would like to contribute to our mission and, in doing so, will help give
Garrett's Wings to children and families who need them.
Lifting up little angels through research, comfort and care.
